Return & Refunds

Carbonetics Return Policy 

1. Special Orders / Made-to-Order Items
Special orders and made-to-order products cannot be cancelled or returned once placed. These items are specifically manufactured and Carbonetics is not required under Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or international consumer law to provide a refund or exchange for change of mind, change of circumstance, or delays outside of our control.

2. Eligibility for Returns
If the buyer believes a part is defective, damaged on arrival, or incorrectly supplied, they must notify Carbonetics in writing within 2 business days of delivery. If approved, Carbonetics will issue a Return Confirmation. 

All return requests are reviewed in line with ACCC and Fair Trading regulations:

• Items that have been used, modified, painted, installed, or damaged by the buyer will not be eligible for return or refund. Products must be returned in original packaging, Carbonetics will not supply any additional boxes or freight, this is the responsibility of the customer. 

3. Return Conditions & Timeframes

• Returned products must be received by Carbonetics within 5 business days of the return confirmation being issued.

• All returns must be sent prepaid and insured, in their original packaging and condition. Carbonetics is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit back to our warehouse.

• Returns are on a case by case basis. If a return is approved, the buyer will receive store credit only for the value of the product. The original and return shipping charges are excluded from the return as they are (non-refundable).

• A 30% restocking fee applies to all returns that are approved.  

4. International Customers
For overseas buyers, the same conditions apply. International return shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer, including all duties, taxes, and clearance fees.

5. Inspection of Returned Goods
Upon receipt, Carbonetics will inspect the returned parts. If goods are deemed defective or incorrectly supplied, they may be exchanged for the same item (where available). If the return is rejected, the buyer will be responsible for any additional shipping or handling costs to have the goods sent back.

6. Important Notes

• Shipping charges (both to and from the customer) are non-refundable.

• Returns sent without prior approval, without a prior Return confirmation, the package will be refused and returned at the buyer’s expense.

• Buyers are strongly encouraged to insure their return shipment. Carbonetics will not accept liability for damage or loss during transit.
