Cancellation policy

Extended Cancellation Policy

Please review your order carefully before placing it. By completing checkout with Carbonetics, you acknowledge and agree to our Terms & Conditions, including our order processing, made-to-order, pre-order, shipping, and cancellation policies.

Made-to-Order, Pre-Order & Special Order Items

Many Carbonetics products are made-to-order, pre-order, special order, custom order, or allocated from incoming supplier stock. These items are not always held physically in stock and may be produced, sourced, allocated, or reserved specifically for your order once your purchase is confirmed.

Once an order has entered processing, allocation, production, supplier ordering, manufacturing, quality control, or freight preparation, it is generally not eligible for cancellation, refund, or change-of-mind return.

This is because resources, materials, supplier allocation, production scheduling, warehouse planning, and logistics may already be committed to your specific order.

Change of Mind & Personal Circumstances

Carbonetics does not accept cancellations or refunds for change-of-mind reasons once an order has been processed or production has commenced.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Selling the vehicle
  • The vehicle being written off
  • Changing the direction of your build
  • Ordering the incorrect product
  • No longer wanting the item
  • Finding an alternative product elsewhere
  • Change in personal or financial circumstances
  • Installation cost concerns
  • Freight cost concerns
  • Timeline preference or inability to wait
  • Not reading the product description, ETA, or checkout terms before purchase

These circumstances are treated as change-of-mind reasons and do not provide grounds for cancellation or refund.

Production & ETA Acknowledgement

Estimated timeframes are provided as a guide only. Made-to-order and pre-order products may be affected by production scheduling, supplier availability, quality control requirements, freight delays, customs processing, public holidays, peak periods, or other circumstances outside of Carbonetics’ control.

A delay within, or reasonably connected to, the expected production and logistics process does not automatically entitle the customer to cancel or refund the order.

Where delays occur, Carbonetics will continue working to fulfil the order as soon as reasonably possible.

Completed, Inbound or Dispatched Orders

An order cannot be cancelled once the product has been completed, passed quality control, been packed, dispatched, allocated to freight, or is already inbound to Carbonetics or the customer.

At this stage, production and logistics costs have already been incurred, and the product has been committed to the customer’s order.

Approved Cancellations

In limited circumstances, Carbonetics may choose to approve a cancellation at its discretion. This is assessed case by case and does not create an obligation for Carbonetics to approve future cancellation requests.

If a cancellation is approved, a cancellation fee, restocking fee, administration fee, freight deduction, supplier fee, or production cost deduction may apply depending on the status of the order.

Any refund amount, if approved, will be calculated after deducting applicable costs already incurred by Carbonetics.

Faults, Warranty & Product Issues

Cancellation requests are separate from warranty or product issue claims.

If you believe your product has a fault or issue, you must contact Carbonetics through the correct post-purchase support process. You may be required to provide photos, videos, packaging images, installation details, workshop diagnosis, or other supporting evidence.

Where a product issue is verified, Carbonetics will assess the matter in line with its Terms & Conditions and applicable consumer guarantees. Depending on the circumstances, the available remedy may include repair, replacement, store credit, refund, or another suitable resolution.

A product must not be returned without prior written approval from Carbonetics. Unapproved returns may be refused or returned to the customer at the customer’s cost.

Customer Responsibility

It is the customer’s responsibility to check all product details before placing an order, including product compatibility, vehicle model, material, finish, ETA, shipping costs, installation requirements, and whether the item is in stock, pre-order, or made-to-order.

If you are unsure whether a product is suitable for your vehicle or timeframe, please contact Carbonetics before placing your order.

Summary

Once a made-to-order, pre-order, special order, custom order, or allocated incoming stock item has entered processing, allocation, production, or logistics, it generally cannot be cancelled or refunded.

Carbonetics remains committed to fulfilling confirmed orders and will work with customers where genuine product issues arise, but change-of-mind cancellations are not accepted once the order process has commenced.
